Rooibos Turmeric Chai and Honey "Nice" Cream

Our guest Foodie this month is Dhe from The Well Journal. Dhe and I share a similar interest in helping people be a better version of themselves. And if you can eat ice cream while you do that, it's a yes from me. This ice cream is delicious using only natural ingredients with no dairy or refined sugars added.

Take it away Dhe!

Chai Icecream

This ice cream is delicious using only natural ingredients with no dairy or refined sugars added. It is sometimes called 'nice cream' by foodies because it is nice to your body and who wouldn't love that!

Today's recipe uses rooibos turmeric chai from the Change Chai range which is a delicious blend I highly recommend using. When you open the blend for the first time, you will be caught by the aromas which are so rich and authentic you will be able to smell the individual spices. I fondly remember growing up with rooibos tea with a spoonful of honey in South Africa which gives you an almost caramel taste and is the inspiration for the flavours of this ice cream. I hope you love it as much as I do.

Ingredients

Rooibos Turmeric Chai Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Change Chai rooibos & turmeric chai
  • 1 cup frozen sliced bananas
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 1 tsp raw honey

Recipe

  • Blend bananas and cream until smooth
  • Add chai powder and honey and blend
  • Taste for flavours and if you like a stronger chai flavour you can add more chai powder
  • Freeze for 3-4 hours or until set
  • Leave out at room temperature for a few minutes then scoop and serve

Enjoy! -xo, Dhe
